ROYALTY FUTURISTIC

Values & Norms

The freedom that lies behind the multitude of life decisions can make you dizzy. The subject Values and Norms accompanies students in their ethical orientation and helps them to make responsible decisions.
Immanuel Kant’s question “What should I do?” is a central motif of the lesson. Further questions such as: “Who am I anyway?”, “Which values are particularly important to me?”, “How do I manage to live well and fairly with others?”, “How do I make my life meaningful?” or “What matters make me happy?” become values and norms-Lessons provided and discussed.
The subject aims at the free personal development and self-determination of the students. Methods such as the thought experiment, the Socratic conversation, dramatic play or the dilemma discussion help to deal with different world views and conceptions of truth. The teaching of essential values, standards and ethical principles is always done on the basis of ideological neutrality. The lessons are therefore open to everyone.
